Dead. Measured 0 resistance from vcc to ground.

Hooked up a 9volt battery to vcc and ground. Started measuring voltage at various places around the board to try to zero in on the short. Found the lowest voltage to be at a diode near the power connector.

Cut the diode. Short gone. Diode was shorted internally. This diode is most likely just there as protection against plugging the vcc and ground in backwards and not needed anyway as long as you don't plug vcc and ground in backwards.
