Symptom 1
Game works great, but there's no speech (meep, meep). All other sounds work.

Tests
Replaced 6522. No change. Replaced 5220. No change. Put 5220 in another game, works fine there.
Replaced 6522 program ROMs. No change. Looked up data sheet for 5220. Found it takes -5v on pin 6.
Measured voltage at pin 6 and found it was -15v. An inspection of the circuitry feeding that pins
shows some rat bastard removed some transistors. Q4 and Q5 are gone. Aaron Giles told me what's
on his board:

"Q3 is empty
Q4 is 2N3904
Q5 is 2N3906
Q6 is 2N3906

My board layout is A043486."

Fixes
Repopulated missing transistors. Speech now works, yay! But only for about 5 minutes. Boo!!

Symptom 2
Game works great, but there's no speech (meep, meep). All other sounds work.

Tests
Measured -5 volts at pin 6. Reads +4.75 volts. Measured voltage at emitter(?) of 7905 transistor.
Reads +4.75 volts. Replaced the 7905. Still no workie.

Fixes
Fuggit. Bought a new cart off eBay (Indiana Jones) and swapped all the ROMs and Slapstic onto it. Works great now. Cheesy
